Since it was able to provide alternatives before other restaurants were given permission to welcome guests inside, the St. Pierre restaurant in Singapore is organizing virtual dinner parties.
While guests were “mingling,” Stroobant would occasionally drop by for a “conversation” to discuss the menu and give consumers the chance to speak with a Michelin-starred chef via Zoom. St. Pierre served (and still serves) lavish, high-end bento boxes filled with a range of goodies to various locations.
During the vacation, the Saint Pierre cooks focused on improving their techniques and creating new dishes, and the new menu is a definite indication that they made the most of their time.
A lunch at Saint Pierre is fantastic because, although being straightforward, it feels sophisticated. The most well-known Szechwan restaurant chain in Japan is Shisen Hanten. It opened its first location in Singapore in 2014 on the 35th floor of the Mandarin Orchard Singapore. It has 14 restaurants spread throughout six locations in Japan.
The “Father of Szechwan Cuisine,” a Chinese immigrant named Chen Kenmin, established Japan’s first Szechwan restaurant in 1958, marking the beginning of Szechwan cuisine.
Since the 1980s, Kenichi’s family has operated a restaurant in Japan. His oldest son, Chen Kenichi, himself an Iron Chef and better known as “Szechuan Sage,” carried on the family company and extended it all over Japan. His most well-known dishes focused on the seven main flavors that give Szechwan cuisine its distinct pungency.
The affable Executive Chef of Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro, a third-generation Chen, is currently in charge. He is a rising star in the Japanese culinary scene, carrying on his grandfather’s mission to elevate the appreciation of Szechuan cuisine in Singapore through their hallmark dishes.
Kentaro’s specialties are Chen’s Mapo Doufu ($26), which is stir-fried tofu in a spicy Szechuan pepper-flavored pork sauce, and Shisen Hanten Five Signature Appetizers ($24), a collection of five savory appetizers. Chinese spicy noodle soup ($22), sweet and sour fried kurobuta pork in black vinegar ($38), sautéed chicken and chicken and szechuan peppers ($32), and lobster are some of the spicy dishes available.

One Fullerton’s sushi restaurant, which is run by the founder of Hong Kong’s three-star Michelin Sushi Shikon and the Emmanuel Stroobant restaurant group (which runs Saint Pierre), is a collaboration.
Given that Michelin inspectors will need to visit a restaurant several times (we hear three), they had only a brief time period in which to do their evaluation.
Kanesaka declared that Shoukouwa was superior to Shinji, Singapore’s best sushi restaurant, in his book Sushi Koshu. Hashida Sushi, Ki-Sho, Shiraishi, AOKI, and Sushi Mitsuya were all absent from the scene.
Expect prices to be rather high. Shoukouwa felt that there was a higher degree of variety and excitement in terms of providing, when compared to Shinji by Kanesaka.

Despite being situated on a rather quiet section of Wilkie Road, 28 Wilkie is easy to find. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the decor is straightforward with white walls, clean lines, and black accents on the banquettes and bar counter. The ilLido Group, which also oversees eateries including Amo at Hong Kong Street and Aura at the National Gallery, operates Braci. The restaurant is not visible from the street because it is located on the top two storeys of a small shophouse and requires a lift to reach level 5. The 20-seater open-kitchen concept restaurant Braci is so snug that it will make you feel like a home guest. Burnt Ends is a modern Australian-style barbecue restaurant with counter seating and an open kitchen that may be thought of as more of a casual than a fine dining establishment. It is situated on Teck Lim Road, near to the Burnt End Hotel, just a short stroll from Singapore’s Chinatown.

The first and only Peranakan restaurant in the world to receive a Michelin star is Candlenut Singapore. From New Bridge Road to COMO Dempsey (2017) and then to a colonial home on Dempsey Hill, chef Malcolm Lee has relocated his restaurant twice since 2016.

Chef Ang Song Kang, often known as Chef Kang, gained even more notoriety and prominence when he was elevated to one star in the Singapore Michelin Guide 2021.
Even though he was already well-known in the culinary community of Singapore, few would have predicted that the Michelin inspectors would pay attention to this unassuming restaurant close to Little India. It makes dining excellent but is not fine dining.
The only person working in the kitchen is Chef Ang, who prepares every meal while his trainee is occupied with other duties like slicing vegetables.

Chef Rishi Naleendra draws inspiration from his ancestry to produce meals that fly. He is well-known in Singapore for the Modern Australian masterpiece Cheek By Jowl and globally as the first Sri Lankan chef to receive a Michelin star.
People should not, however, presume that they are dining at a Sri Lankan establishment. Like its Amoy Street neighbor Nouri, Cloudstreet is distinctive and admirably defies classification.
Since Naleendra’s Modern Australian cuisine is already renowned for going a huge step further with deeply individualized Sri Lankan subtleties, one of these meals, or a mix of the two, might serve as Cloudstreet’s calling card. Corner House is housed in the former residence of Eldred John Henry Corner, who served as the assistant director of Singapore’s Botanic Gardens from 1929 until 1945. The dining area at The Cure is elegant, cozy, and melancholy. Glossy teal surrounds an open kitchen in the back, perfectly encapsulating the vibe of the location. Slate, dark oak, and black are prominent colors throughout, giving the space a decidedly British feel.
The culinary skills of Cure’s chef Andrew Walsh are a result of his training with British chefs like Jason Atherton. Walsh’s restaurant’s signature finger food is sourdough with whisky-brined preserved cabbage and bacon butter, an ode to traditional Irish bacon and cabbage.

Many steak lovers should be familiar with the Singapore steakhouse called Cut by Wolfgang Puck. The business’s first Asian site is in Singapore’s Marina Bay Sands, where the famed steakhouse has had a Michelin Star since 2016. Esora, a restaurant owned by The Lo & Behold Group, is a 26-seat Japanese restaurant in a historic shophouse. Chef Koizumi plates modern kappo food, which is simply described as “to cut and cook.”

In terms of cuisine, chef Paul Longworth is no amateur. He began his career in a number of renowned British restaurants before moving to Singapore in 2009 and working at several eateries before joining the “Petit Salut.”
Then he met Jerome Desfonds and Alice Low-Ang, who became his two business partners. Rhubarb, a small restaurant that serves gourmet French cuisine, was created by the three as part of an ambitious project in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.
